The Association for Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) celebrated the 2023 AIMP Nashville Country Awards on Wednesday evening at the historic Ryman Auditorium.The event, sponsored by Spotify, was hosted by songwriting legends Bob DiPiero and Craig Wiseman and paid tribute to the best of Nashville's independent songwriters and publishers. The office has also focused on identifying and cultivating up and coming writers, artists, and producers including, John Moreland, Andy Albert, Jillian Jacqueline, Sara Haze, Tony Esterly, among others. Over these past three years, Downtown Nashville has developed a roster covering all facets of Nashville’s music industry from Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, Old Crow Medicine Show, 2015 Songwriter Hall of Fame member Rosanne Cash, prominent independent music publisher Big Yellow Dog Music, multi-award winning songwriter and playwright Wayne Kirkpatrick to veteran writers Marc Beeson, Kendell Marvel, and Kelly Archer.
